All of my students in the Lower Learning Center have learned their 1st months scripture:  Deut. 6:4-9

Starting another school year!!

Wow, we are so excited to be starting another school year! We have been blessed with the enrollment of 22 children so far this year! Our school is a Christian based education thru School of Tomorrow . Last year was our trial run, and this year we have added so many new classes, and fun educational trips, etc for our students to experience! We saw amazing results last year with many of our students achieving their learning goals, learning scriptures and we just can't wait to see what happens this year! We have a jammed packed, exciting year planned and we can't wait to share it with you all!

First let me introduce you to our staff:

Bro.Tim is our new Principal this year.  We have been extremely blessed to have him join our school.  Bro. Tim, is not only the principal, but he also helps with the Preschool class as well as teach the boy's study group.  If you ever need anything, Bro. Tim is the go to guy!  He's always there to lend a hand is a HUGE blessing!

Sister Jeanette, is our Director. She is an awesome, fun loving, person to work with. She is also our "Preschool" teacher this year. She is a brave woman, facing 9 little ones! :) I know she will do an excellent job with them, I'm confident in that!!
I'm Sister Jackie. I am the Administrator in the lower learning center...aka head teacher. This year I have 12 students, 4 of them being my own girls. I have to say I am very excited about our new year. I was a little apprehensive, until everything fell into place. It's amazing how God works all things for HIS GOOD! I look forward to seeing our students reach their goals, and blossom into the plan God has for their lives!

Sister Cindy is a mother of 3 of our new students here at FCA. We are super excited to have her join our team as well! Sister Cindy is a monitor in the lower learning center, as well as our "Super Chef"! She will be teaching our older students to cook and bake pretty much anything you can think of! We are excited and can't wait to be their "Guniea Pigs"!! She's an awesome cook..... what more can we say!! Bring on the good food!!

Sister Jessica is our school secretary, we are thankful that she takes care of all the ordering, and books for the school...that is a huge job! Not only is she our awesome secretary, Sis. Jessica also is teaching an "Ettiquette" class for our girls! We are so happy to have helping with the teaching! I think the girls are very excited about her class.  :)

This year we have added some extra classes for the lower learning center (grades 2nd-12th) including the following: Cooking, Sewing, Ettiquette Class for Girls, Boys Bible Study, Music/Drama, and then of course monthly field trips as well.
We have several volunteers to help teach these extra classes, and we so appreciate all your help and support!

Here are some highlights of our first week!

We decided we wanted to be creative in the learning center this year and spruce things up a bit....the girls did an AWESOME job painting some trees on the walls!  Here we have Autumn James, Savannah Brooks & Kimmy McMinn.
Brittany McMinn and Meriah Hester painted the tree on the other side of the room! Sooooo much fun!  Are these girls talented....or what!!!
How's this for an AWESOME reading spot!!  Camping is so much fun....so why not try "camping" inside!
Perfect with 2 comfy bean bag chairs!
Gideon McKnight is totally enjoying it!
While all this was going on....we had a few more little "artists" busy creating their creations....  (Mackenzie McMinn  &  Izzy McDonough)
Here are a few more snapshots of the first week school...
Amy McMinn doing research on the laptop.
Adam playing around with the bat and ball
Lydia McKnight and Adam Carver....just hanging out in the gym
TItus having a really BAD hair day....thanks to the girls! LOL
Titus in action!
I hope you enjoyed seeing pictures of our first week of school!  We are so proud of the students!!  Although none of these pictures show the students doing "ACTUAL" school work, they did get a lot accomplished!  We had 8 out of the 12 learn their monthly scripture found in Deut. 6:4-9 !!  What an awesome accomplishment!  Congrats to all of you that completed this!  :)
Please check back often to stay updated with what's going on here at FCA!
Blessings, Sis. Jackie
